AMD Opteron 165 - XbitLabs
XbitLabs reviewed the AMD Opteron 165 dual-core CPU. They like the value and the very good overclocking results of this Socket 939 processor. Here’s a part of their conclusion:
The thing is that AMD Opteron 165 is the best value dual-core AMD processor for Socket 939 platforms. However, the performance of this processor in traditional desktop applications is not as higher as we would expect it to be, according to our tests.
While being not very fast in traditional desktop applications, this CPU shows its power in games which derives benefit from the large L2 cache.
