NVIDIA 7600GT vs. ATI X1800GTO @ TrustedReviews
TrustedReviews has released an article comparing the two main-stream graphics cards NVIDIA 7600GT & ATI X1800GTO. This review features different game benchmark results showing that the two cards overall perform at the same speed. We’ll have to wait how high the price of the upcoming X1800GTO will be, however, it seems today the ATI card will come at a higher price then the 7600GT. TrustedReviews therefore comes to this conclusion:
The X1800 GTO and 7600 GT are very close performance wise and I wouldn’t want to let that weigh too much in to my buying decision. The form factor of the 7600 GT is considerably nicer, being smaller, quieter and cooler. The X1800 GTO is loud, clunky and annoying.The 7600 GT is currently available from Dabs for only £128.25 including VAT, while the X1800 GTO isn’t even available. The cheapest X1800 XL I could find was £164.06 – so I hope the GTO will be price competitive, but it is quite likely that it close to the X1800 XL than the 7600 GT, questioning if we even need the GTO in the marketplace at all.
