MSI NX7600GT VT2D256E @ EclipseOC

EclipseOC reviews the MSI NX7600GT VT2D256E graphics card and writes:

From an overclocking standpoint, I was honestly let down a little bit. With a 580mhz core clock, I was hoping for at least a 10% over stock speeds without tweaking voltages, instead there was barely 5% for the core. To me, this isn’t a good thing, as some systems are less capable of powering the card and keeping it cool. That 5% headroom can turn into 0% pretty easily, and users may be faced with a card that does not work at stock speed after several months of use. Hopefully this is just a worst case scenario and I really did get a “bum” card. After all, the memory chips were not even contacting the heatsink. If that was not attended to, it’s not impossible that the memory would have burnt out from extended use at high temps.
Despite these concerns and issues, I feel that this card is good value for the money. Talking to others with the same card, it seems that I was the only one with the contact issues, so take the last few sentences of the previous paragraph with a grain of salt. The real clincher for this card over the 7600GT’s is the stock heatsink. Not once did I see temps over 55c, even at 1.55v.
