Overall, the MX610 is a worthwhile upgrade for anyone still using a corded mouse or an older optical unit. The laser sensor was quick in response to just about anything I was throwing at it. The smart features that turn the mouse on and off in relation to your system status is great. It can save quite a bit of battery power in the long run. It would have been great if rechargeable batteries were included, but that would likely raise the pricetag.The range of the 2.4Ghz receiver was adequate without being affected by my wireless router, wireless phone and the microwave oven.
