ASUS P5K Deluxe Review @ OCWorkbench

OCWorkbench reviews the ASUS P5K Deluxe motherboard which features the new Intel P35 chipset and supports DDR2 memory. OCWorkbench gives this board a rating of 9.4 out of 10 along with the ‘Product Excellence Award’ and writes:

The DDR2 version of the P5K3 seems to perform equally well as we have seen from the benchmarks. Features wise, this board uses the Intel P35/ICH9R chipset. It supports the newer 1333FSB processors including all mutli core processors. It has all the bells and whistles of any high end ASUS board out there. [...]

The overclocking features is very complete. With crazy voltage range, one can test out watercooling for those high voltages. The FSB can even be chosen from a range of 200 all the way to 800MHz. This is a bit too dynamic which most users might not even use anything beyond 600MHz FSB. [...]

Overall, this board has performed well for its first official BIOS. With DDR2 modules pricing dropping further, this board would be a better choice. DDR3 would still be costly at this moment and availability is probably June. ASUS P5K with DDR2-1066 is definitely the better buy with a better price/performance ratio compared to its brother the DDR3 P5K3 Deluxe.
